Journal - Seigaiha Waves Red Fabric Hand-bound Hardcover by Studio Artisaan

Variant
1 item left
Hand-bound journals covered with a rich red traditional Japanese wave (seigaiha) pattern that symbolizes a desire for continued peaceful living and good luck.

The artist uses an ancient stab binding method called Koki Toji or Noble binding where the binder stabs holes along the left edge of the book in a straight line and then sews thread through the holes to both bind and decorate the book.

Journals can be used in either a horizontal or vertical layout. They also work for both right and left-handed writers, and the covers are created with a double-bend feature that allow books to lay open on their own.

Each journal measures 9in x 6in and is filled with 36 sheets (72 pages) of blank, heavyweight drawing paper. Pattern layout may vary slightly from photos.
